Charity Update and Extended Show and Tell

Guild Meeting and Program
CCQG offers a variety or programs and workshops throughout the year. At our meetings, we have speakers teach us new skills, how to use new tools and technology and provide inspiration for that next great project. Our speakers are nationally renowned, local and even part of our own guild.

Our workshops are usually held at the Longhorn Cafe at the corner of River Road and Esser Road in Boerne. They usually run from 9:30 - 4:00 but hours vary (setup begins at 9:00 am).

Lulu Belz, Development Director for the Hill Country Pregnancy Care Center (HCPCC) will provide insight into their programs for the area. Then we will be treated to a big Show and Tell from our members.

Join us for a program presented by Riley Blake Fabric Designer and Author, Heidi Staples. She will discuss how a fabric collection is put together and marketed. Heidi will show samples of her three fabric collections, her books and her free online tutorials.

Heidi will sharee her Sew Organized tips and cover design principles to get the look you want ( type of print, theme, scale, and color.) She will also share sorting shortcuts and we'll have opportunities to audition Fabrics and troubleshoot design challenges.

Lastly, we will make the Souvenir Clutch from her book, Patchwork, USA
​

Linda will demonstrate best practices in Free Motion Quilting and then the participants can practice the art.
​
Bring Five 12" quilt sandwiches and contrasting thread and the Free Motion foot for your sewing machine.

Orphan Quilts and Trunk Show

Donna will explain how to turn random leftover blocks, bits and pieces into beautiful quilts.
