CCQG offers a variety or programs and workshops throughout the year. At our meetings, we have speakers teach us new skills, how to use new tools and technology and provide inspiration for that next great project. Our speakers are nationally renowned, local and even part of our own guild.
​
Our workshops usually run from 9:30 - 4:00 but hours vary (setup begins at 9:00 am). Locations can vary depending on the workshop.

"Hello Spring"

The wildflowers will soon be in bloom! Let's celebrate the beauty of the Hill Country with our own "Airing of the Quilts". Join us for a Springtime Extended Show & Tell.
​
Intrepid Thread from New Braunfels will set up a pop up shop with fat quarters and fabric bundles featuring Liberty of London, Tilda, Anna Maria (possibly other designers that Intrepid Thread carries.)
​
​
Austin Area Quilt Guild will bring their Raffle Quilt! Come prepared to support our local quilts shops and quilt guilds.​​

Pixelated Quilt Workshop
Location: First United Methodist Church

Time: 9:30am setup
Workshop: 10 am - 3:30pm

Make a pixelated quilt using your own artwork, photo, etc. or one of the pixelator's designs. Bring your laptop to play with you patch design software​

Foundation Paper Piecing

Karen will review the ins and outs of Foundation Paper Piecing. She will cover helpful tools and various methods of paper piecing including traditional and "no-tear" paper piecing.
​
Everyone is invited to bring their paper piecing creations for Show and Tell.

Foundation Paper Piecing Workshop

Non-members: $75

Learn to paper piece using the traditional method. Kits will be provided with precut fabric for 16 blocks. If you would like to use your own material, check out the Supply List below for yardage requirements.

Location: Uptown Blanco Retreat House
--Around the corner from the textile studio in Blanco
Setup: 9:30 am
Workshop: 10:00 am - 2:00 am
Can stay until 4:00 to sew

Cost: $35 cash or check made out to Uptown Blanco Textile Studio.
​
NOTE: Space it limited to 8 participants.
​
PAYMENT: Due by Thursday April 9 to Andrea. After this date, the workshop will be open to the general public if there are open seats.
​
​Pattern: "Blue Onion" by Saginaw Street Quilt Company is $9 (required; no pattern sharing allowed)
Ruler: "Ovals All Ways" ruler by Creative Grids is $55.95 (or you can rent one from the studio for $5, payable at the workshop)
​
Workshop supplies purchased at the Uptown Blanco Textile Studio for the workshop will be discounted 10%
​
